Annecy is an Alpine town in the south of France, a place of unique beauty, a diamond set at the point where the Lake Annecy meets the River Thiou. It is here that since immemorial time (they say since 1860, in honor of Napoleon III) the tradition of the "Fête du Lac" - the festival of Lake Annecy – has taken shape; an event that during the years has developed into the largest annual fireworks show all over Europe. Each year a theme is chosen as leitmotiv, at each appointment there is a different story, developing with breathtaking scenographies and choreographies, including plays of light, dancing fountains, lasers and columns of fire, and of course the most impressive fireworks in the sky; all this combined with a narrative voice that accompanies the spectators throughout the show. The show "Rêver le Ciel" is a hymn to the dream that has always accompanied man: flying, exploring new and very distant horizons.
On the occasion of the 500th anniversary of Leonardo da Vinci’s death, a great researcher in the field of flight and of the 50th anniversary of the moon landing, the consecration of one of the most famous and memorable flight destinations, the show aims to accompany the public through the most important stages in man's conquest of the firmament, and once again consecrate the implacable spirit that drives a man to dream and desire new goals to conquer and live. A journey through stories and legends of the past: from Icarus, to Leonardo Da Vinci, the great names in the history of world flight up to reliving that first step on the moon together with Neil Armstrong and dreaming of new goals hitherto unexplored and unknown.
It is with this narrative theme in mind that Parente Fireworks created a monumental fireworks display: 70 minutes of pure show divided into 7 acts, for a total of 21 different scenes, 17000 fireworks pieces for a total of about 3500 Kg of explosive mass, 77 floating platforms positioned on the Lake surface, for a total area of 550m x 300m. Colors, shapes, complex geometries and scenic effects capable of giving each act a unique character with a particularly strong emotional impact.
To add drama and emotion to the show, 40 points of water fountains were used, with variable heights up to 25m and displaced on a front of 560 meters, 100 light projectors were positioned on 14 dedicated platforms, 20 audio stations were placed within the lake area, in order to spread the soundtrack to the whole town. Finally, at certain times of the show, to add a touch of magic and poetry, two professional acrobats flew in the sky and upon the lake surface, sustained by 2 clusters of balloons illuminated by colored light, starting from both ends of the lake to meet then each other and dance to the rhythm of the soundtrack.
